Message from Dan and Gloria Stansbery

I learned of Mark's passing at choir practice Wednesday night. Both Dan and I were saddened at his demise because he was a good friend, a fine Christian, and a passionate evangelist. I even attended your wedding on that hot afternoon. We shared a Thanksgiving dinner with him and Linda several years ago at our home and were able to get to know them better. He used to attend the home church when we did. I always was amazed by his knowledge of scripture from memory and his ability to give a word spontaneously when some topic was discussed. I loved and respected him greatly. He had a heart for the needy and downtrodden,. He cared about this community and proved it by his actions in helping to procure bunk beds for needy children and volunteering to serve on the Citizens Judicial Review Panel for foster children, though the training session never materialized. I know helped in other ways that I am not familiar with.
Dan often saw him at the Methodist men's gathering Tuesday mornings at Floyds. He has been missed from that group. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Gloria Stansbery

So sorry to hear about Mr. Daniel's passing he drove my daughter's school we really thought the world of him Mr. Daniel's and the family are in my thoughts and prayer's.

pastor Mark was a great encourager and a really great friend. It was my pleasure to take care of him as my friend and patient. It would end up we were taking care of each other because he would share with me the word of God. pastor Mark is my dear friend and I miss him so much already. To the family you all are in my prayers. He taught strength in Jesus and that strength is sure and never failing. I love pastor Mark and I love each of you his precious wife and family. God bless each of you is my prayer
